Jeff brings over 15 years of experience in both industry and consulting leadership roles, with a focus in operational accounting and treasury. He has extensive acquisition, carve-out, and transaction experience working with private equity sponsors to fully integrate financial reporting, systems, processes, and personnel. Jeff also has a background in Controller roles across the healthcare, technology, energy, financial services, retail, wholesale, and distribution industries.
During his time with Accordion, Jeff has served as Interim Controller for a private equity-owned $500 million SaaS company. In this role, he managed a complete overhaul of the accounting function, including revenue recognition and cash/receivables application to validate all accounts and guide the company through the annual audit process.
Jeff served as Interim Controller while transitioning two separate multi-facility healthcare providers from cash accounting to GAAP after acquisition by a private equity firm. He also transitioned to a new ERP system and financial reporting platform with restatement of prior years’ financial statements and management of the first-year audit without any audit adjustments.
He has also managed carve-outs across multiple industries, where he transitioned all of the treasury function, established order-to-cash and record to report procedures, mapped all general ledger accounts from the parent to child, managed TSA requirements, and created the opening balance sheet.
Recently, Jeff led the integration of multiple banking units to help a financial services organization grow from $500 million in assets to over $4.5 billion. This included detailed analysis of all asset and liability accounts to value for the opening balance sheet work, the documentation and implementation of accounting controls and procedures, and tracking the transition all material contracts.
Through his years of experience, Jeff has managed several acquisitions where he developed a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast model, along with retooling the budgeting process and variance analysis to be KPI-driven against established goals. He has worked with a variety of private equity firms and board of directors to create the necessary financial models to track and report key financial and operational metrics for senior management to optimize cash management.
