Kirsten Campbell is a Vice President with nearly 10 years of experience using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science to solving hard problems in creative, logical and actionable ways.
Before Accordion, Kirsten was a manager of data science for Starbucks Coffee Company. In this role, Kirsten served as thought-leader and subject matter expert for NLP and LLM implementations across the corporation, demonstrated through executive dashboards backed by the predictions of state-of-the-art models. She also supported the Talent and Inclusion team to deploy and validate data-driven approaches to inclusive, compliant hiring and compensation. Prior to her time at Starbucks, Kirsten was at Callminer, a conversational intelligence company. Here, she worked her way up from data scientist intern to Director of Data Science, where she led a team of data scientists, analysts, and linguists to deliver bespoke Machine Learning solutions on transcribed human-to-human conversation. In this role, Kirsten oversaw the development and implementation of Data Science Consulting Services engagements, spanning across Healthcare, Retail, Utilities, Travel and Telecommunication industries.
Kirsten is passionate about Responsible AI, developing and promoting the adoption of Ethical AI frameworks in both previous companies. She focuses on making AI and machine learning understandable to people of all technical backgrounds through participation in panels, webinars, and blogs.
Kirsten holds a M.S. in Computational Linguistics from Brandeis University and a B.S. in Mathematics from Winthrop University.
