Josh is a Vice President in the Strategic Finance practice, with over seven years of experience in the financial services industry, with expertise across investment banking, credit risk and working capital management.
Prior to joining Accordion, Josh was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley’s financial institutions group, covering banks, specialty lending companies, fintechs, and asset managers. Based in New York, Josh’s role focused on advising clients with larger mergers and acquisitions, as well as strategic capital raising and allocation through the post-Covid economic cycle.
Previously, Josh completed his M.B.A. with the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Through Chicago Booth’s Sterling Partners Investment Thesis Challenge (SPITC), he worked with the healthcare-focused private equity firm, Flexpoint Ford, to develop an industry analysis on the healthcare technology space and identify actionable investment opportunities within the sector. Josh also served as a non-voting board member on Firebird Community Arts, a Chicago-based non-profit serving local trauma survivors through the practice of glassblowing and ceramics arts.
Josh began his career as a corporate banking analyst at J.P. Morgan’s London office, where he performed various roles across cash management, supply chain financing, and credit risk management. As an analyst, he developed skill sets across financial analytics, product management and client-facing sales (including a six-month stint as a sales analyst at J.P. Morgan’s Paris office).
Josh graduated with first class honors from the London School of Economics with a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science and from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with a M.B.A. in Analytic Finance, Entrepreneurship, and International Business.
