Zach is a Vice President with six years of experience in corporate finance, budget and financial modeling, business plan development assistance, business intelligence research and reporting, accounting, tax preparation and filings, and tax audit. Some of his notable assignments include:
- Preparing a cash flow projection model and cash reporting methodology for a payment processing company. He also created an integrated three-statement financial model with monthly projections to forecast annual EBITDA to support the company as it explored a sale process.
- Creating an integrated three-statement financial model for a nurse staffing company to support a refinancing of its debt. Zach built in scenario-driven functionality to allow management to stress test key decisions about the course of the business and their impact on EBITDA and cash.
- Building a 13-week cash flow projection model support a statement mailing company manage its cash balance and debt covenants after it emerged from bankruptcy. Zach’s model allowed management to plan for periods of cash need, and supported the company through a subsequent bankruptcy filing. Zach also built a detailed P&L projection model to support the company’s business plan as it navigated its subsequent bankruptcy filing.
- Building an integrated three-statement financial projection model to support the sale process of an iconic American restaurant brand. As a part of the chapter 11 process to effectuate the transaction, Zach prepared required bankruptcy filings, assisted with liquidity and landlord management, and participated in post-transaction transition and wind-down planning.
- Providing litigation support and developing analyses supporting expert testimony on the subject of chapter 11 plan feasibility. He also prepared analyses supporting an expert report on the solvency of multi-property real estate property management company.
Prior to joining Accordion, Zach served as a Senior Associate for Ernst & Young, LLP in Seattle where he prepared Federal and State tax returns for multinational corporations and partnerships, performed audit procedures on tax provisions, and executed a variety of Federal tax consulting projects.
Zach graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, where he was on the Dean’s List from 2013 through 2016 and a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honor Society. He also graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, and he is a CPA in the state of Washington.
