Patrick is an Executive Director at Accordion with 30 years of finance experience focused on FP&A, M&A, and Strategic Planning.
Before joining Accordion, Patrick spent the last 5 years driving strategic planning and leading M&A transactions with both PE- backed and publicly owned companies. His most recent work was with Corsair Memory, Inc. in the computer hardware/peripheral and services business units. Prior to this, he was the VP of Strategy and Corporate Development at Renaissance Learning, an educational technology company providing curriculum instruction and assessments. Patrick’s focus is on strategic initiative development and 5-year financial targets leading to balanced organic/inorganic growth. He also has extensive experience with the M&A transaction process from target funnel identification, LOI, due diligence, close and post-merger integration.
Patrick began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young, working on various engagements. He then continued to pursue accounting as a controller for Morgan Stanley, supporting emerging markets FI, FX, and the trust company. For the next 20 years he focused on the finance side (FP&A) of the CFO offices for Societe Generale, Merrill Lynch, BlackRock, ICAP, and AIG. After supporting the asset management division of Merrill, he was brought over to BlackRock in the acquisition. At BlackRock, he built out the business finance function and implemented their first ever budget process. Collaborating across functions including IT and HR, he led the development of budget systems and instituted new charts of accounts. Patrick is an expert in budgeting, forecasting, cost management, new and existing business evaluation, financial reporting, competitive analysis, cost allocations, process review, and change implementation. Through his partnering with senior executive management, he has become an invaluable resource in driving business performance.
Patrick graduated with a B.B.A. in Accounting and a minor in Mathematics from the Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary. He was a CPA (inactive).
