Shane Provost is a Staff Software Engineer with more than 13 years of experience across fintech, SaaS, MarTech, and enterprise-scale platforms, with a career-long throughline of taking systems from zero to production and owning them end to end.
Most recently at Farther Finance, an AI-powered wealth management platform now managing nearly $20B in assets, Shane served as technical lead on the AI Assistant project. He drove org-wide adoption of agentic development practices, architected a RAG-based on-call triage system on AWS Bedrock, and led the recovery of a customer-facing chatbot days before a hard deadline, shipping all core requirements on time. Before Farther, Shane was the technical partner in a three-person founding team at Providence Wealth Systems (a funded fintech startup focused on cashflow optimization system for UHNW individuals and family offices), where he built and led the engineering org while personally architecting the platform end to end.
Earlier in his career, Shane worked in large-scale enterprise SaaS and retail technology. At Mailchimp (later Intuit), he was a primary contributor to a React component library adopted across 15+ teams, led an appointments system enabling 2M+ bookings, and helped redesign Website Builder 2.0 for significantly faster load and onboarding times. Prior to that, he founded and led one of The Home Depot’s first Marketing Technology engineering teams from scratch, delivering high-traffic frontend systems for homedepot.com used by 40M+ monthly visitors.
Shane holds a BA in Ethnomusicology from Indiana University, Bloomington. Before his software career, he spent ten years as a professional musician and guitar instructor and later taught full-stack development at Georgia Tech’s professional education program.
