Daniel is an Associate with three years of audit experience with a focus on serving a diverse portfolio of asset management clients, including private equity funds, hedge funds and fund-of-funds.
Prior to joining Accordion, Daniel was a Senior Associate at RSM. Throughout his time at RSM, Daniel developed a deep technical foundation across U.S. GAAP, fair value measurement, and industry specific accounting standards. He gained hands-on experience testing investment valuations, reviewing capital activity and partnership allocations, and assessing the nuanced operational workflows unique to asset managers. Daniel also played a key role in coordinating audits across teams, managing timelines, and communicating directly with client finance leads to ensure efficient execution and clear resolution of audit issues.
Daniel’s areas of expertise span financial reporting, fund operations, and investment level analysis within the broader asset management ecosystem. He has worked closely with CFOs, controls, and fund accountants to navigate technical accounting questions, streamline audit processes, and strengthen reporting accuracy. His exposure to diverse investment structures and client types has given him a deep understanding of how asset managers operate – from deal workflow and portfolio monitoring to investor reporting and compliance. This blend of technical rigor and cross-functional collaboration allows Daniel to support clients in environments that require precision, sound judgement, and a practical understanding of the investment landscape.
Daniel is a Certified Public Accountant who graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting.
