Alice is a Director at Accordion with more than two decades of experience in UX strategy, product design, enterprise UX architecture, and AI product design, including more than two years designing LLM-powered products across legal technology, healthcare, biometric security, and publishing. She specializes in the trust layer of AI, helping users validate, triage, configure, and steer model output.

Over the past decade, Alice has transitioned from enterprise UX architecture to leading design for AI products. She has designed LLM-powered products, worked with small teams of four to six engineers, and partnered with ML engineers on prompts to improve output quality. Her work keeps people in control of AI, from enabling analysts to validate and iterate on M&A risk analysis, to routing low-confidence healthcare decisions to human reviewers, to helping fiction authors steer and refine stories before publication.

In addition to AI product design, Alice has led UX for desktop and mobile applications, including major upgrades for customer and administrative platforms. After analyzing web analytics, she identified the need for a dedicated mobile app for users managing their U.S. visas through a non-responsive web application. She designed the UX and managed an offshore mobile development team, and introduced Design Sprints to help stakeholders define requirements more effectively. Her expertise includes human-in-the-loop workflows, confidence and uncertainty UX, explainability and rationale, prompt and model-configuration UX, collaboration on prompts and outputs, UX strategy, integration design, prototyping, design systems, and client-facing design leadership across pre-sales and delivery.

Alice’s thought leadership contributions include presentations at Blacks in Technology Chicago on “The Intersection of Design and Engineering,” the Apple Store Chicago on “UX Workshop: Designing a Mobile App,” and Chicago IxDA on “The Integration of Design and Agile.” She holds a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University.
