Andy Burgess

Andy is a Senior Managing Director and is the Accordion London Office Leader.​ Andy has over 15 years of consulting and deals experience over a wide range of industries, and 5 additional years of industry experience as a CFO of both a PE backed start up and for a divisional business of Nestle.

Andy specializes working with PE sponsors and their assets to ensure their finance functions are fit for purpose and aligned with value creation plans. He specializes in deal strategy and execution for the finance function, assisting leaders through complex transactions, ensuring they manage risk and deliver maximum value.​

He has deep expertise in finance transformation, integration and separation, working capital optimization, and cost reduction initiatives. An experienced CFO himself, he brings empathy and first-hand operational insight to help clients deliver against their value creation objectives.​

Andy has led numerous large-scale integration programs, helping clients capture synergies, mitigate risks, and establish sustainable platforms for growth. His leadership is characterized by a practical, results-oriented approach that combines technical rigor with a deep understanding of CFO challenges.​

Prior to Accordion, Andy led KPMG’s Finance in Deals team. In this role, he built and led teams supporting CFOs through complex transactions advising across the full deal lifecycle. ​

Earlier in his career, Andy served as CFO of both a PE-backed company and a corporate, experiences that sharpened his understanding of the investor-management dynamic. He holds a proven track record of driving measurable results in high-pressure environments and is committed to supporting clients in delivering long-term value creation.
