James Wainwright

James Wainwright is a Senior Director in Accordion’s CFO Technology practice, bringing over 15 years of experience across technology advisory, implementation, and value creation engagements. He specialises in driving business performance improvement through financial and operational technology, with particular expertise in CRM and technology-enabled initiatives within M&A contexts.

At Accordion, James works closely with private equity sponsors and portfolio company management teams across the UK and EMEA. He adopts a highly hands-on approach, focused on delivering tangible financial, commercial, and operational outcomes through the effective deployment and optimisation of both finance and wider enterprise technology.

Prior to joining Accordion, James spent more than a decade in senior technology advisory roles at EY, IQVIA, and FTI Consulting, supporting clients across APAC, the United States, and EMEA. His experience spans advisory, interim, and implementation roles, with a focus on operational performance improvement, turnaround situations, and complex mergers, integrations, and carve-outs for both large corporates and private equity–backed businesses.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Technology Sydney.
