Jimelle is a Director with over a decade of client service experience primarily in auditing, accounting, and corporate investigations. A certified public accountant, Jimelle has an expansive track record of excellence covering a variety of engagements involving operational accounting, fraud investigations, accounting analyses, GAAP compliance, and risk and controls evaluations. Jimelle’s experience also spans a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, hotel and hospitality, global cruises, financial services, and energy.
With Accordion, Jimelle has partnered with senior management to support clients’ operational accounting needs and improvement efforts. Jimelle has served in various interim controllership roles where she provided leadership and support to the finance and accounting function, established month-end close processes, reporting and reconciliations, cleaned up the accounting records, and managed the company’s year-end audit:
- Interim controller for a $1B mechanical, electrical and plumbing provider
- Interim controller for a $450M produce distributor
- Interim controller for a $200M managed IT services company
- Interim controller of a sawmill distributor
- Interim assistant controller of a carveout of $750M global medical device manufacturer
She has also performed finance and accounting process assessments with developed streamlined process and system solutions, executed process and system integration, and supported ERP implementation.
Prior to joining Accordion, Jimelle spent over 6 years in forensic accounting, where she participated in multiple corporate investigations, litigation and arbitration matters.
Jimelle started her career in the audit practice of Deloitte & Touche, where she spent 5 years performing audits of an SEC registrant, private entities, and employee benefit plans.
Jimelle earned her Bachelors in Public Accounting and in French (with honors distinction) from Calvin College.
