Michael is a five-time chief information security officer with over thirty years of experience in cybersecurity, including more than a decade leading security programs across high-growth startups and large enterprises.
His key functional areas of expertise include information security strategy, governance & risk management, compliance & assurance, security program design, and responsible AI adoption.
Michael has led teams ranging from small, focused groups to globally staffed organizations of over two hundred engineers across both fast-scaling startups and large enterprises.
Before joining Accordion, Michael began his career as a consultant with Andersen Consulting, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte, building security capabilities across healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing.
Michael earned a B.S. in Marketing from Northern Illinois University. He is a CISSP, CISM, and CIPP/US.
