Lane is a Managing Director with over 30 years of advisory experience. Lane supports large and complex health care providers by serving in revenue cycle and restructuring leadership roles. Lane leads large and cross functional teams aimed at enhancing financial performance while concurrently increasing patient care and customer satisfaction levels.
With Accordion, Lane focuses on health care providers of all types who desire enhanced financial performance via increased revenue and reduced cost structures. Lane has worked in health care advisory for 30+ years and, for the majority of that time, has maintained an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate.
Before joining Accordion, Lane was responsible for overseeing the Healthcare Advisory practice at the 35th largest professional services firm in the United States. His services included revenue cycle, billing/coding, compliance and regulatory and reimbursement. Lane was responsible for project leadership and management of the firm’s largest and most complex clients including those with annual revenue is excess of $2B.
Lane also served as the National Revenue Cycle Service Line leader for Grant Thornton where he was responsible for delivery of revenue cycle services nationwide. Lane’s focus included enhancing revenue cycle performance, restructuring provider client operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs as well as overseeing multiple electronic medical records implementations. His team of over 45 revenue cycle professionals served some of the largest health care providers in the United States.
Lane worked a number of years at Ernst & Young where he was responsible for managing health care provider revenue cycle projects. His teams included both clinical, financial and operational personnel. His primary geographical focus area was in the Northeast.
Lane started his career at KPMG where he successfully passed the Certified Public Accountants exam and spent two years performing financial statement audits. After completing the required two years of experience to achieve active CPA certificate status, Lane transitioned to revenue cycle advisory services out of the Chicago, IL office. Lane served a multitude of clients during his tenure at KPMG.
Lane holds a B.S. from Western Kentucky University.
