James is an Executive Director and US Lead for Machine Learning & AI, with almost 2 decades of experience in advanced analytics, AI & ML, data platforms, strategy, and delivery across multiple industries.
Prior to Accordion, James spent the last 7 years leading emerging technology services at Slalom Consulting, most recently as Global Head of AI Delivery. He built a new D&A practice for one of Slalom’s new markets, leading sales, delivery, and innovation. James developed a team to cover increasing technology demand throughout the San Francisco area, leading to 10x growth over 3 years. Prior to Slalom, he has built the core technology for multiple machine learning startups, published dozens of highly-cited peer-reviewed articles, and built cross-functional teams to execute on the impossible.
James’ focus at Accordion is to develop intelligent, repeatable D&A products to drive growth and efficiency. His consulting work has continued to drive value across life sciences, healthcare, finance, technology, and the public sector.
He has consistently built teams on the leading edge of technology, driving both analytical and applied sciences through novel approaches. In recent years, he’s also focused on helping clients develop valuable AI tools to work faster, smarter, and more efficiently.
James graduated from Montana State University with a Ph.D. in Statistics & Environmental Sciences, working to understand complex genetic signals through novel machine learning techniques.
