Jeff is a Senior Director in Accordion’s Turnaround and Restructuring practice with nearly 20 years of experience in investment banking, restructuring advisory, and corporate strategy, serving corporate, private equity, and municipal clients across various industries.

Prior to Accordion, Jeff spent 11 years in restructuring advisory, advising various stakeholders through complex situations (both in and out of court), while working on behalf of distressed companies, secured lenders, unsecured creditors, and law firms. He has significant experience with financial statement, cash management, liquidation, and valuation modeling and analysis, as well as short and long-term forecasting, developing and implementing cost-containment initiatives, and chapter 11 filing preparation.

Jeff also spent six years in investment banking, where he focused on providing advisory services to distressed public and private middle market companies, including pre-crisis situations, out-of-court workouts, and court-supervised reorganizations, as well as structuring and placing debt and structured equity solutions in the private markets and executing distressed M&A transactions.

Representative restructuring advisory experience includes:

  • Financial advisory services on behalf of a private credit fund to assess a distressed credit in the healthcare equipment management space, including reviewing business plans and cash flow forecasts and developing sensitized projections, reviewing processes and controls, and developing recommendations on longer-term business viability in advance of negotiations with the financial sponsor
  • Financial advisory services on behalf of a distressed rideshare rental platform, including liquidity management, development of alternative business plans and wind-down scenarios, and support of an expedited sale process, to seek and implement a value-maximizing outcome via negotiations with the senior lending syndicate, junior creditors, and the Board of Directors
  • Financial advisory services on behalf of the State of New Jersey regarding the City of Atlantic City, including stabilizing the City’s finances, developing a comprehensive plan for long-term fiscal balance, and preparing publicly issued reports on behalf of the City’s “Emergency Manager”
  • Financial advisory services, including liquidity forecasting, chapter 11 preparation, and DIP-facility sizing, to a publicly traded specialty pharmaceutical company in advance of its sale via §363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code
  • Financial advisory services, including business plan and liquidity assessment and development of an approved Plan of Reorganization, to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of a major Burger King franchisee
