Greg is a Managing Director with over a decade of experience as a public market investor and investment banker. He has worked with and invested in companies spanning a wide variety of industries, including in industrials, energy, media, consumer products & retail, and financial services.
At Accordion, Greg is focused on helping clients make better decisions by providing insightful and timely financial reporting. He also builds and refines forecasting models to provide greater clarity around future business results, enabling more accurate planning and budgeting processes. His project leadership experience includes the development of forecasting models for multiple software businesses, the creation of an automated board reporting package for a leading healthcare clinic provider, the implementation of a monthly operating review & budget process for a healthcare services provider, and a comprehensive analysis of margin deterioration at an industrial manufacturing business.
Before joining Accordion, Greg spent over a decade at Paragon Associates, a Dallas-based, long-short equity hedge fund. At Paragon, he led the firm’s equity investments in the industrial and energy industries. Additionally, Greg served as the lead analyst on investments across a number of other industries and in alternative parts of the capital structure. As an investor, Greg was intimately familiar with the financial and business models for the businesses in which the firm was invested. Paragon’s research process involved dialogue with a wide variety of stakeholders as part of the firm’s diligence process. These conversations required a deep understanding of the strategic & financial rationale to drive decision making on a quarter-to-quarter and year-to-year basis.
Greg started his career at UBS Investment Bank’s Consumer Products and Retail Group in New York. At UBS, he gained extensive analytical and transaction experience in M&A, capital raising and strategic advisory.
Greg graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Economics. He is a CFA Charterholder.
