Vincent Nguyen is a Managing Director with over two decades of experience in advisory, corporate finance, private equity, and investment banking, working with clients ranging from small businesses to multinational enterprises. He specializes in financial operations improvement and Office-of-the-CFO services.
As a member of the Strategic Finance practice, Vincent partners with private equity-backed companies to systematically assess and enhance financial operations capabilities. His work enables greater visibility into cash flow, more robust and accurate stakeholder reporting, and improved management decision-making. He also collaborates with management teams to optimize working capital cycles, develop customized financial models for strategic decision-making, and assist with financial forecasting and annual operational planning.
Prior to joining Accordion, Vincent served as a Managing Director and Head of the Strategic Finance practice at Palm Tree LLC, an M&A consulting firm based in Los Angeles, California. In this role, he was instrumental in scaling and professionalizing the company’s strategic finance consulting services. Vincent led complex engagements, enhancing the financial operations of portfolio companies through both engagement leadership and hands-on execution. During his tenure, he partnered with private equity clients with different fund strategies, from minority ownership to buy-outs and carve-out transactions, to achieve value and their investment thesis.
Before Palm Tree, Vincent established the Corporate Finance department at Travis Mathew and participated in the company’s successful sale to Callaway Golf. In this role, he architected and built the company’s financial reporting and performance monitoring infrastructure. Vincent also facilitated multiple annual operating planning cycles and performed analyses to support strategic decision-making processes. In addition to leading the corporate finance function, Vincent oversaw the company’s demand planning and business analytics functions, where he leveraged Power BI to create an automated and standardized self-service reporting framework for all corporate functions.
Earlier in his career, Vincent worked as an investment professional at CDH Investments, a private equity fund with $20 billion in assets under management. He participated in several successful investments and exits across different industries, including retail, food service, education, industrial equipment rental, and business services. In addition to the buy-side experience, Vincent also worked in Investment Banking as an Associate Director. In that role, he led the execution of investment banking services, including private placements, IPOs, and corporate valuation.
Vincent holds an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
