Nick Warren

Nick is an Associate on Accordion’s Operational & Technical Accounting Advisory team, supporting private equity-backed portfolio companies and corporate clients across the healthcare, business services, consumer, home services, and commercial real estate sectors. Nick’s background spans finance process design and transformation, including current-state assessments, business requirements definition, system selection, and order-to-cash and procure-to-pay process enhancement. He also brings a core accounting foundation across month-end close, account reconciliations, accounts payable, financial statement analysis, and data management.

At Accordion, Nick has supported a range of engagements across finance transformation and core accounting. He has conducted finance transformation discovery and business requirements definition across source-to-pay, travel and expense, and revenue management for a global commercial real estate services firm. He has led current-state assessments, process taxonomy design, and future-state operating model work spanning AP, procurement, corporate card, treasury, and commissions. His project work has also included global corporate card and T&E rollout requirements covering multi-country implementation, policy redesign, and SOX-aligned controls. Nick has provided close acceleration, working capital optimization, and month-end close and reconciliation support within interim management and restructuring engagements, as well as reporting and technology stack optimization and exit readiness preparation.

Additional experience includes ERP selection against documented business requirements with chart of accounts redesign, and SOP development for an ambulatory care company’s accounting department, along with finance onboarding support. Before joining Accordion, Nick spent more than five years in a management role, where he streamlined processes and led, mentored, and developed teams.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SUNY Old Westbury.
