Matthew is a Senior Consultant with nearly one year of experience in project management within the engineering design space. Matthew has an interest in resource allocation and data analytics, as seen from his work in areas such as wastewater treatment, protein modeling and simulation, and pharmaceutical utilities.

Matthew hopes to expand his skillsets and apply these experiences to serving the office of the CFO in the private equity field. Matthew was formally exposed to the finance world through the Launchpad program at Stevens Institute of Technology. This exclusive program aimed to blend both the engineering and business fields. After gaining familiarity with engineering, Matthew now has the opportunity to bring an engineer’s perspective to Accordion.

Before joining Accordion, Matthew was involved in the production of stainless-steel utility panels for use in pharmaceutical cleanrooms. Matthew took on the role of project manager following a company-wide restructuring. Some of his responsibilities included scheduling client meetings, conducting factory approval tests, and coordinating departments’ efforts.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Matthew became an intern at Platform Specialists. During this internship, he completed various Anaplan learning modules culminating in a Certified Model Builder certificate. Through his work with Platform, Matthew was further exposed to finance and began considering it as a possible career path.

Matthew has also spent nearly a decade serving the public as an ocean lifeguard, EMT, and most recently, as acting captain. Despite the clear responsibilities of protecting the public and responding to emergency situations, the most important responsibility Matthew had was interacting with the public. His experiences with different people of different walks of life has made him compassionate and understanding, skills which allow for stronger client relations and efficient response to client needs.

Matthew graduated with highest honors from Stevens Institute of Technology in May 2023 with a B.E. in Chemical Engineering. Matthew also holds an Anaplan Certified Model Builder certificate, which he obtained through an internship with Platform Specialists.
