Matthew Oberst is a Vice President in Accordion’s CFO Technology practice with nearly eight years of experience advising C-suite executives on technology strategy, digital transformation, and data modernization across industries. Matthew specializes in enterprise system selection and implementation, data management and governance, AI adoption, and IT operating model design.
Prior to Accordion, Matthew spent his career at Grant Thornton, where he rose from Associate to Experienced Manager within the firm’s Technology Strategy practice. He served as a trusted advisor to CFOs, CIOs, CTOs, and CDOs, consistently expanding initial mandates by identifying opportunities in AI enablement, data optimization, and operating model improvement. His work spanned both the strategic and executional, from defining technology roadmaps and governance frameworks to managing multi-million-dollar transformation programs end-to-end.
Across his career, Matthew has partnered with organizations spanning financial services, real estate, energy, transportation, healthcare, and life sciences, helping them modernize their technology environments, strengthen their data foundations, and harness AI to position their finance and operations functions for long-term growth.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Temple University’s Fox School of Business. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP – Associate).
