Barrett Daniels

Barrett is a Managing Director and Head of Accordion’s Operational and Technical Accounting practice with over two decades of experience advising companies on complex accounting and capital markets transactions. He is widely recognized for his work in IPO readiness and transaction-related accounting support. He has extensive experience working with companies across the technology, software, and professional services sectors, ranging from emerging growth companies to large multinational organizations.

Before joining Accordion, Barrett was a Partner and U.S. IPO Services Leader at Deloitte. Barrett joined Deloitte following the acquisition of the advisory firm he founded, Nextstep Advisory Services. The Nextstep team became a foundational part of Deloitte’s Accounting and Reporting Advisory practice as it scaled into a national platform.

Barrett also previously served as an Operating Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers (Vision Fund), as a Partner and IPO Leader at Connor Group, and began his accounting advisory career in the Capital Markets Group at PwC. Over the course of his career, he has advised more than 100 companies through IPO and other capital markets transactions.

Throughout his career, Barrett has been regularly called upon by leading media outlets including CNBC, Bloomberg, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal for his insights on the IPO market and broader capital markets trends.

Barrett received a B.S. in Accounting from Florida State University.
