Rui Batista is a finance professional with a proven history directing financial reporting, consolidation, controllership, and risk management functions. Analytical and detail-oriented, he excels at driving process improvements that boost accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.

Most recently, Rui was a Director in the Business Process Outsourcing practice at Citrin Cooperman, where he focused on clients across various industries. He performed full controllership, partnering with owners, partners, and shareholders to streamline finance operations, translate results into actionable business advisory, and evaluate process- and technology-driven growth opportunities.

Previously, he was Assistant Controller at Balchem Corporation, a publicly traded specialty ingredients company, where he led general accounting, cash, A/R, and A/P and delivered consolidated reporting to the C-Suite. He developed and maintained short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, improved visibility into liquidity trends, and supported working capital optimization initiatives. During his tenure, he also drove several key initiatives, including consolidating multiple ERPs into Microsoft Dynamics 365, improving the cash conversion cycle, and introducing treasury automation tools.

Earlier in his career, Rui held multiple leadership roles at GE Capital, overseeing controllership and regulatory reporting for portfolios totaling over $20B and managing global finance teams. He began his career at IBM, where he supported global hardware margin analysis, inventory reporting, and intercompany transfer pricing across product-driven business units.

Rui earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from Western Connecticut State University.
