David Oberst

David Oberst is a Director & Associate General Counsel with nearly 12 years of diverse legal, compliance, and business experience across public, privately held, and family office-owned sectors.

Before joining Accordion in 2026, David was the Assistant General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for The Boler Company., a private family-owned holding company. In this role, David was responsible for carrying out the legal, compliance, and governance functions supporting the day-to-day initiatives and long-term strategies for Boler’s manufacturing operations and its Family Office. He also served as the Corporate Secretary to Boler’s Board of Directors.

Prior to Boler, David was Senior Counsel at Intertek USA, Inc., the North American subsidiary of an international public company (LSE: ITRK) providing industry-leading assurance, testing, inspection, and certification solutions globally. It was in this role that David began honing his skills transforming the legal department into a true business partner through smarter decision-making, strategic communication, and proactive de-risking.

Before his transition in-house, David counseled clients ranging from small & medium-sized businesses to Fortune 100s with a concentration on commercial transactions, civil litigation, intellectual property, and corporate governance.

David’s career began as an Inside Sales Rep at Thermo Fisher Scientific for their Research/Healthcare Division and continued at The Shaw Group as a Project Controls Scheduler for the VC Summer Nuclear Plant in Jenkinsville, SC. These early roles allowed him to develop his C-Suite presentation skills and understand the importance of cross-functional collaboration amongst internal departments.

David graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (f/k/a The John Marshall Law School) (J.D.) and Millikin University (B.S.). He is a member of the Bar in the State of Illinois.
