Morgan is a Vice President with nearly a decade of experience in technical accounting, SEC reporting, and auditing across consulting, corporate, and public accounting roles.
Prior to joining Accordion, Morgan was a Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting Manager at Peloton where she determined the accounting for complex transactions including a billion dollar global debt refinancing and various strategic acquisitions. She became a primary point of contact and control owner for the company’s accounting for leases, long-lived asset impairments, and exit and disposal costs in corporate restructurings. Morgan played a pivotal role in updating and disseminating the company’s library of accounting policies and resources to the global finance organization and prepared various 10-K/10-Q disclosures.
During her time as Manager in the Technical Accounting Consulting group at RSM, Morgan assisted middle-market clients with complex technical accounting matters as well as audit readiness, public company readiness, and acquisition and carve-out related engagements. Morgan began her career in Grant Thornton’s audit practice where she worked on both PCAOB and AICPA audits.
Morgan has advised clients and business partners across industries on the technical accounting and financial reporting implications for a wide variety of topics including leases, impairments, share-based payments, debt modifications, revenue recognition, business combinations, exit & disposal costs, and contingencies. She has extensive experience drafting both private and public-company financial statements, guiding clients through audits, and accounting for various corporate transactions.
Morgan graduated from Tulane University with a M.S. in Accounting and a B.S.M. in Legal Studies in Business.
