Carol is a Senior Director with 20+ years of experience in providing advisory services to companies in various industries in Canada and the United States. She demonstrates proven knowledge and practical application in US GAAP and IFRS.
She brings extensive experience in initial public offering (“IPO”), guiding companies through every stage of the IPO process – representative work includes advising a software-as-a service company on the uplift of their financial statements, preparing its S-1 registration statement, responding to comments received from the SEC, and preparing the company’s first Form 10-Q and 10-K as a public company.
Additionally, Carol has led several GAAP conversion efforts – her work included supporting a multi-national technology solutions company where her team performed detail analysis and identified significant company specific risks, contributing to a successful conversion. She has also served as an interim controller, managed teams supporting hypergrowth companies in evaluating significant processes and guiding them through SOX implementation and audit readiness programs.
Before joining Accordion, Carol was a senior manager in EY’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services where she advised clients on complex accounting transactions, due diligence support, financial reporting processes and optimization, accounting change, and GAAP conversions. She started her career in Vancouver, BC, Canada and moved between Canada and the United States a few times before settling in Seattle, Washington.
Carol is a graduate of Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada and is a CPA (Washington) and CPA, CA (Canada).
