Anton Gimmel

Anton is a Managing Director with over 15 years of advisory, investment and FP&A experience with private and public companies ranging from large multinational corporations to startups. With Accordion, Anton partners with management and private equity sponsors to improve business performance and transform finance & accounting organizations. His prior roles in growth equity and as an operator give him unique perspective and a hands-on approach to value creation for all stakeholders.

Anton specializes in strategic financial planning and analysis, business intelligence, and leading transformative financial & operational initiatives. He is skilled in providing rapid visibility to business performance, FP&A organization and process design, liquidity management, and technology enablement and automation, including designing and deploying data & analytics and EPM tools. Core solutions delivered to clients include monthly reporting packages, designing and leading budget and forecasting processes, advanced data models and BI dashboards, 13-week cash flow forecasts, and bespoke revenue recognition, forecasting, and payroll tools, as well as preparing companies for exit via IPO and M&A. His industry expertise includes financial services, professional services, consumer, retail, business services and healthcare.

Previously, Anton was Co-Founder and CFO/COO of a PropTech startup, where he drove capital raising, managed a cross-functional team, and implemented a B2B SaaS business model and go-to-market strategy that doubled revenue and secured significant seed capital. Earlier in his career, Anton spent over a decade in investment and advisory roles at RiverVest Venture Partners,  Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers. At RiverVest, he sourced investments, executed financings, M&A and IPO transactions, and supported portfolio companies as an in-house FP&A resource. Prior to that, he held senior positions at Barclays Capital, covering the most important global clients for big ticket strategic corporate and investment banking transactions,  and started his career in Lehman Brothers’ Investment Banking Division in the Financial Institutions Group.

Anton holds an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis (Beta Gamma Sigma, Kenneth and Marilyn Steinback Endowed Scholar) and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from New York University with a B.A. in Economics (with Honors) and a minor in French.
