Connor Leighton

Connor is a Vice President in Accordion’s Strategic Finance practice with over six years of experience spanning financial due diligence, sell-side readiness, and public accounting. He brings a combined background in transaction analysis and audit, including two years of dedicated experience supporting sell-side readiness engagements for private equity–backed companies across a variety of industries. Connor is known for strong technical skills, clear communication, and a strong client-facing presence, with the ability to connect detailed financial analysis to sponsor and management priorities throughout the transaction lifecycle.

At Accordion, Connor primarily supports sell-side readiness and transaction-focused FP&A workstreams for private equity–backed companies. He works closely with CFOs and finance teams to develop buyer-ready analyses and reporting, including KPI databooks, revenue and margin bridges, and working capital insights that underpin the equity story. His work focuses on translating complex operational and financial data into clear, defensible narratives around performance, growth drivers, and cash flow, helping management teams prepare for diligence and effectively communicate with potential buyers.

Connor also supports transaction execution through analytics-driven deliverables such as integrated financial models, quality-of-earnings–style analysis, and detailed revenue and unit economics assessments. He partners with senior stakeholders to ensure outputs are aligned with diligence expectations and tailored for investment committees, boards, lenders, and third-party advisors.

Before joining Accordion, Connor was a Manager at SCA Transaction Services, where he led buy-side and sell-side financial and accounting due diligence engagements for private equity and strategic clients in the middle market. Earlier in his career, he was an Audit & Assurance Associate at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he performed audits for Fortune 100 public companies. Connor graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting with honors recognition and a minor in Entrepreneurship.
