Paul Bryant is a Director with more than 32 years of experience in manufacturing, management, healthcare, metals, aerospace, consumer productions, chemical manufacturing and processing, medical devices and consulting.
Paul has successfully trained more than 100 lean leaders, trained over 110 six sigma green belts and black belts, conducted over 278 kaizen events, and completed over 85 six sigma projects. Additionally, Paul has facilitated more than 50 Value Stream Mapping (VSM) workshops, resulting in approximately $105.2M in cost savings for his clients.
Some of Paul’s notable Quality Improvement Projects include:
- Achieving a 71.2% reduction in burr defects on a medical device (bone drill), resulting in savings of over $2.2M
- Reducing variation in ½” foam from a supplier, leading to cost savings exceeding $200K
- Implementing Mistake Proofing techniques to eliminate upside-down gold-plated connectors for an Aerospace vendor, resulting in $425K in cost savings
- Extending the life of router bits by 210% through adjustments in router bit specs and settings, saving $372K
- Decreasing electrical wiring defects (shorting) by 72% through strategic changes in bearings, shafts, and brake settings, resulting in a 280% increase in Cpk from 0.5 to 1.9
Paul has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and a minor in Environmental Sciences. He also holds certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt and Master Black Belt from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.
