Carlo is a Director with over seven years of advisory, controllership and audit experience. He specializes in solving problems related to complex financial risk management, corporate transactions and divestitures, financial processes, technical accounting and financial reporting. His engagements require an extensive understanding of financial operations, analytics, controls, reporting processes, accounting guidance and a pragmatic approach to solution development.
Since joining Accordion, Carlo has partnered with management of private equity backed companies to reorganize finance functions, accelerate financial statement close processes, enhance financial reporting, provide technical and operational accounting support and preparation assistance for upcoming audits. Carlo specializes within the Life Science, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Financial Service industries.
Before joining Accordion, Carlo served as an Accounting Manager at Covis Pharma, a private equity backed pharmaceutical company. As an Accounting Manager, he streamlined the month end close process, increased efficiencies by integrating finance process automation tools and led global finance workshops.
Prior to Covis Pharma, Carlo was a Senior Consultant in Deloitte’s Risk and Financial Advisory Practice. Within this role, Carlo served several of the largest global Life Sciences and Healthcare companies. He worked on various projects including, drafting financial statement footnotes, creating opening balance sheets and developing roadmaps to facilitate smooth integration of new acquisitions.
Carlo started his career in the audit practice of KPMG where he was responsible for performing and reviewing audit procedures, preparing financial statements and reviewing financial transactions for financial services clients.
Carlo graduated with a dual degree from Muhlenberg College earning a B.A. in Accounting and a B.A. in Finance.
