Zee Akbarali

Zee Akbarali is a Managing Director with more than 15 years of experience leading finance and operational transformations that drive efficiency, scalability, and value creation. He specializes in digital enablement, global shared services, strategic sourcing, and analytics-driven performance improvement for private equity-backed and corporate organizations.

Prior to joining Accordion, Zee was a Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal, where he led large-scale transformation initiatives across the finance and operations landscape. His engagements included a global procure-to-pay redesign for a Fortune 50 food distributor and a strategic sourcing program that delivered multimillion-dollar savings for a national title company. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Finance at mindWireless, where he led finance and operational strategy, and as Strategy & Finance Officer at Westlink Trading, LLC. Zee began his career in public accounting with Deloitte & Touche, LLP.

Throughout his career, Zee has partnered with CFOs and executive teams across a diverse range of industries—including media and entertainment, energy services, telecom, transportation, retail, and manufacturing—to design and implement scalable operating models. His cross-functional expertise in finance, technology, and operations enables him to lead end-to-end transformations that enhance performance and unlock enterprise value.

Zee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Finance from Texas A&M University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas and has served as the Financial Management Chair for the Aga Khan Council.
