Shannon is a Vice President in Accordion’s Operational & Technical Accounting practice with extensive experience in audit and accounting. She brings a background in external audit for both fast-growing companies and large multinationals, which she now applies to help finance leaders strengthen controllership, close, and technical accounting across multi-entity environments.
At Accordion, Shannon leads operational and technical accounting workstreams for private equity-backed companies, focusing on process optimization, policy design, and readiness for heightened reporting and assurance requirements. Her work includes ASC 842 lease accounting implementations, revenue recognition policy review and enhancement, finance assessments, and the design and implementation of standardized close and reporting processes. She has also supported IPO-readiness initiatives, contributing to workshops and workplans that address historical financial statement uplift, PCAOB audit transition, governance, and internal controls in coordination with senior finance and accounting leadership.
Before joining Accordion, Shannon worked as an Audit Senior at Ernst & Young, where she supported a wide variety of audits for companies ranging from start-ups to large multinationals, primarily in the manufacturing and retail sectors. Shannon graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce & Accounting.
