Hayden is a Vice President in Accordion’s Turnaround & Restructuring practice in Boston, with over a decade of hands-on experience leading complex restructurings and special situations by executing pragmatic solutions that stabilize performance and maximize stakeholder value across HVAC and home services, food and consumer products, energy and transportation, and nonprofit and social services.
Notable recent engagements include leading 13-week cash flow, liquidity, and recovery modeling in support of a lender-negotiated restructuring and capital raise process for an energy transportation and fuel logistics company; advising a multi-protein food processor under severe liquidity pressure and vendor stretch by redesigning its 13-week cash flow and cash/vendor reporting to support lender negotiations; and correcting company modeling errors for a multi-billion dollar securitization-driven specialty finance business by simplifying its 13-week cash flow into a management-ready forecasting tool. Earlier in his Accordion tenure, Hayden served on the interim management team for an HVAC and home services provider operating across eight states, helping negotiate and close six asset purchase agreements (nine businesses) through a successful Chapter 11 process; supported a complex restructuring for a global innovation-center operator through site-level performance analysis, three-statement and cash flow modeling, and portfolio right-sizing; and stabilized a large New England youth and family services organization by enhancing cash forecasting, improving billing processes, and building program-level profitability analytics to inform strategic decisions.
Prior to joining Accordion, Hayden served as the founder of Quintilian Capital, offering unique financing solutions for students through an innovative community platform while teaching the basics of financial literacy, giving graduates the financial confidence and career network to set and meet long term goals. He then spent time at Positive Moves, gaining additional exposure to executive development and career advisory work while helping to expand the firm’s business across North and South America.
Earlier in his career, Hayden advised multi-generational families at Pathstone on investment advisory and estate planning needs. He prepared portfolio performance reports to measure quarterly returns, assisted advisor teams with daily transactions and reconciliations, and helped drive portfolio restructuring and tax-loss harvesting. He initially supported the firm’s merger-related transition with Federal Street Advisors and researched and analyzed client investments — including private equity secondaries, credit alternatives, and direct investments. Hayden began his career at Morgan Stanley as a Team Analyst/Associate, where he supported multiple advisor teams with client reporting and analytics, leveraging Excel macros and data analytics to consolidate and streamline client information.
Hayden holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Finance from Bentley University.
