Josh is an Associate with nearly seven years of experience in consulting and public and private accounting, with clients ranging from small startups to large multinational companies from a variety of industries such as life sciences, technology, retail, and construction. His specialty lies in the revitalization of underperforming companies.
With Accordion, Josh has partnered with management of private equity-backed companies to enhance liquidity, improve visibility, and ensure covenant compliance. Additionally, he has focused on the identification, implementation, and tracking of cost reduction initiatives.
Prior to joining Accordion, Josh worked at Marcum LLP in their assurance services group. For more than five years, he helped lead private and public audit engagements through a planned risk-based audit approach of the client’s entire accounting cycle. He also assessed significant risk areas and performed technical research on complex accounting issues to ensure compliance with all standards and regulations, including U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
Before Marcum LLP, Josh worked on the finance and accounting team for a private equity-backed global wine merchant, Sokolin LLC. In this role, he worked directly with management and was responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports for inclusion in monthly board meetings, and analyzing financial activity for both domestic and foreign operations.
Josh graduated from Washington & Jefferson College in Pittsburgh, PA with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.
