Rajan Raval is a Director with over a decade of experience in Finance & Accounting Operations, Private Equity, and Investment Banking.
Representative Accordion engagements include designing and implementing financial visibility & KPI reporting, leading budgeting processes with a focus on revenue forecasting, and partnering with senior management in FP&A function upgrades, process reorganizations, and investor relations. Rajan has worked across a wide breadth of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, insurance, services, and technology.
Prior to joining Accordion, Rajan worked with EquityZen, a financial technology company, in building their finance function. Before EquityZen, Rajan was the Head of Finance at Next Jump, a technology company where he led the finance, accounting, investor relations, and other related functions. Rajan was responsible for all financial communication for the company internally and externally, including to prospective institutional investors. Operating responsibilities included directing FP&A and building KPI dashboards to provide strategic insights to the C-Suite, marketing, and engineering teams. He managed major relationships, negotiating operating cost reductions as well as building audit and tax improvements.
Rajan was formerly an Associate at CI Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity investment firm focused on consolidations in services, light manufacturing, and distribution sectors. At CI, Rajan performed diligence on potential investments, developed extensive financial models, and sourced opportunities. Additionally, he also supported platform investment expansion by partnering with management teams in corporate development. He started his career as an M&A analyst at UBS Investment Bank.
Rajan holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago where he graduated with Honors.
Rajan lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and two children.
