Rajan Raval

Rajan Raval

Rajan is a Managing Director with over a decade of experience in the Office of the CFO, Private Equity, and Investment Banking spaces.

Representative Accordion engagements include designing and implementing financial visibility & KPI reporting, leading budgeting processes with a focus on revenue forecasting, planning F&A function upgrades & technology roadmaps, and carve-out advisory. Rajan has worked across a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, insurance, and technology.

Prior to joining Accordion, Rajan was the Interim Head of Finance at EquityZen, a financial technology company, where he helped build out their finance function. He improved operations by building an FP&A process for enhanced visibility, analyzed transaction profitability economics and deal metrics, and developed accounting procedures.

Prior to EquityZen, Rajan was the Head of Finance at Next Jump, a technology company, where he led the finance, accounting, investor relations, and other related functions. Rajan was responsible for all financial communication for the company internally and externally, including prospective institutional investors. There, his major operating responsibilities included directing FP&A and building KPI dashboards to provide strategic insights to the C-Suite, marketing, and engineering teams. He also managed large relationships, negotiated cost reductions in operations, and built audit and tax improvements for the Company.

Rajan was formerly an Associate at CI Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity investment firm focused on consolidations in services, light manufacturing, and distribution sectors. At CI, Rajan led diligence on potential investments, developed extensive financial models, and sourced opportunities. He also supported the growth of portfolio investments by partnering with management teams in corporate development. He started his career as an M&A banker at UBS Investment Bank where he completed transactions across multiple industries.

Rajan holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago, where he graduated with Honors.
