Zach Chandis

Zach Chandis

Zach is a Managing Director with over 15 years of advisory, financial, and operational experience with companies across a range of industries including transportation, pharmaceuticals, software, technology, industrials, energy, construction & manufacturing, business services, consumer, telecom, and media. Zach is differentiated by his experience in several areas of finance: private equity, special situations, investment banking, restructuring, and consulting. He has served in interim management roles in FP&A and direct support for C-Suite executives. Zach has advised companies and creditors through complex operational and financial cross-border restructurings, including Chapter 11, asset enforcement, and 363 sales.

With Accordion, Zach has partnered with management and sponsors of private equity backed companies to improve liquidity and business performance through enhanced visibility. He has also developed and integrated forecasting processes and analysis, while creating standardized model templates.

Prior to Accordion, Zach was a Senior Vice President with AlixPartners where he primarily focused on debtor-side advisory, restructuring >$18B in debt in aggregate. There, he created and vetted strategic business plans, 13-week cash forecasts, identified transformation savings, managed working capital, and served as PMO of due diligence, in distressed situations. He also worked with growth companies leading analysis and implementation of performance improvement initiatives, supporting private equity diligence, and advising on M&A integration. In addition, Zach served as interim co-head of FP&A, standardizing budget, forecast, and variance reporting, and direct support to C-Suite executives providing day-to-day cash management oversight.

Before AlixPartners, Zach was involved in creditor-side restructuring, public equity capital markets, private equity, and special situations credit. At Clarksons Platou, he executed on more than $2B of public equity funding and led restructuring. He also invested >$750M in private equity, advised creditors on restructuring >$1.5B in debt, and developed several fairness opinions while at AMA Capital. In addition to this, Zach underwrote >$180M in credit commitments and managed >$150M at Goldman Sachs Specialty Lending Group.

Zach is a member of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors (AIRA) and has completed Part I of Certified insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).  He previously held Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses (expired).

Zach graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in History.
