Ian Brown

Ian Brown

Ian is a Managing Director with more than 25 years of experience in consulting and operational finance leadership positions. He has extensive expertise in systems transformation, financial operations, ERP implementation, and back-office process improvement. He has also led several ERP replacements, from requirements definition through the bidding process, GL migration, and final integration.

Prior to joining Accordion, Ian was with FTI Consulting in their Transformation Group. There, his expertise was centered on organizational transformation, EBITDA and margin enhancements, back-office process improvement, and cost take-outs.

Some of Ian’s recent engagements have been focused on the redesign of the proprietary operating platform of a leading global third-party logistics firm. He has also led projects focused on the global supply chain rationalization of a consumer food packaging company, as well as the complete supply chain redesign of America’s largest magazine publisher/distributor. He has also led projects to reduce lead-times and manufacturing costs for one of America’s leading providers of consumer medical diagnostic devices.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, at Charter Communications, Ian led the FP&A function for all customer operations (call centers and billing), and managed integration efforts for several large acquisitions, including GL, billing, and ERP integration of the acquired systems. At another large network provider, he designed and implemented new compensation plans for the direct sales force and developed a performance management system for the company’s 400+ FTE technical operations workforce, which integrated data from the billing, payroll and G/L systems.

Before this, Ian was the CFO of two early-stage companies and worked in media investment banking for WitSoundview, where he focused on digital media infrastructure sector, and at The Jordan Edmiston Group, with a focus on media asset acquisitions and divestitures.

Ian graduated from Dartmouth College, The Tuck School of Business, with an M.B.A. and from Vassar College with a B.A. in English.
