Kristen is a Managing Director with more than a decade of experience stemming from roles at the Big 4, public, privately held, and non-profit companies. As a senior financial leader, Kristen’s background includes worldwide controllership, SEC financial reporting, business process improvement, and system implementations.
Before joining Accordion, she held controllership and finance leadership positions in the media, technology, and aerospace industries. Most recently, Kristen served as the Controller for Refinery 29, a leading digital media and entertainment company. In this role, she accelerated financial close, operational and financial lifecycles, global reporting, and debt compliance reporting. She also restructured the accounting team function and improved business process across the organization.
Prior to joining Refinery29, Kristen was the Controller of Astrotech Corporation, a publicly traded aerospace company, where she managed SEC reporting, consolidation, and revenue recognition. She was the lead on implementing a new ERP system and supported the Board of Directors, Audit, and Disclosure committees.
Kristen started her career at Ernst & Young in the Assurance practice working primarily on clients’ compliance with the SEC, Sarbanes-Oxley, and IFRS.
Kristen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University with a B.S. in Accounting and a Minor in Studies of the Law.
