Puneet Sapra

Puneet is a Managing Director with over 20 years of experience serving technology-enabled healthcare services, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, and non-profit organizations in Europe, Asia, and the US. He provides subject matter expertise in financial performance improvement, M&A, healthcare and technology innovation, and began his career in financial services in New York City.

Puneet started his career at J.P. Morgan where he was responsible for raising capital and structuring financial management products for Fortune 100 clients spanning Healthcare, Consumer Products and Natural Resources industries. While at J.P. Morgan he served as an independent consultant to The World Bank and Vision Spring assisting the 501(c)3 non-profit to design and scale a sustainable social enterprise to distribute eyeglasses in rural and urban settings in India.

In various senior finance, marketing, and strategy positions from 2006 to 2010 at Johnson & Johnson and Vascular Therapies LLC, Puneet formed business plans and raised venture capital to develop and commercialize patented drug-device combination products in USA and Asia-Pacific markets. His health insurance market research in India and China while at Johnson & Johnson was published in Health Affairs.

In 2010 Puneet joined Pfizer in New York City to lead the company’s global corporate innovation program. The program encompassed entrepreneurship training for 100,000 global colleagues, business model innovation competitions, internal investments in disruptive technologies for R&D and Commercial functions, and external investments in healthcare technology start-up companies. He led the design, partnership negotiations and operations of the industry’s first Real World Evidence data and analytics technology platform to apply leading analytical methods to combined internal and external clinical trial, electronic medical record, patient reported outcomes, and prescription drug data.

Most recently, Puneet served as Chief Financial Officer spearheading the strategic transformation and growth of MediMedia USA, a private equity backed firm sold to Merck, and Halma plc, a publicly listed global manufacturer or medical diagnostics and safety sensors equipment, and Frontida Biopharma, Inc which was sold to a Frazier Healthcare and TH Lee portfolio company, Adare Pharma Services. In each of these roles, he led organic revenue and profit growth initiatives and buy-side and sell-side transactions. He was nominated for Chief Financial Officer of the Year by Philadelphia Business Journal in 2016, and serves as Chairperson of the Pharmaceuticals Special Interest Group of Financial Executives Networking Group which has membership of 36,000 global finance executives.

Puneet earned his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Economics and Physics at Duke University, his Corporate Finance certificate from the London School of Economics, and Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
