Penny Tehrani-Littrell

Penny Tehrani-Littrell is a Managing Director and General Counsel with over two decades of legal, regulatory, and compliance experience at large multi-national companies, both in the financial services/investment banking and consumer products/retail sectors. At Accordion, she oversees the firm’s global legal and compliance matters while acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the consumer products/beauty-wellness/retail space.

Before joining Accordion in 2023, Penny was the Acting General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Revlon Inc. (formerly NYSE: REV). In her role, she was responsible for the global legal, compliance and physical security functions of a $2.2B+ iconic consumer products company with a large portfolio of brands (including Elizabeth Arden), offered through omni-channels in over 150 countries worldwide. She served as Revlon’s Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors and as a member of Revlon’s executive leadership team.

Prior to joining Revlon in 2021, she spent 20 years in the financial services and investment banking industries, most recently as Managing Director and Head of Corporate Legal for Nomura, a Japanese global investment bank. At Nomura, she ran a multi-disciplinary team supporting Nomura’s global investment banking and financial services operations in the Americas, including its fintech execution services trading arm—Instinet. During her tenure at Nomura and Instinet, she advised Nomura and Instinet’s senior management locally and globally on a wide range of business matters, including a number of the firm’s principal M&A, divestitures, private equity and venture investments, digital asset transactions, corporate and technological transformations, financings, as well as strategic hires and geographic expansions in support of Nomura Group’s growth strategy.

Before Nomura, she practiced as a commercial litigator with Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP in New York and represented many multi-national companies in financial services, insurance, real estate, healthcare, consumer products, manufacturing, and other industries on complex commercial, restructuring, and regulatory matters. Prior to her tenure at Stroock, Penny held various corporate roles with Oppenheimer Funds and Cowen & Company (currently, TD Cowen Securities).

Leveraging her operator experience at Revlon and Nomura, as well as her deep industry expertise in the finance, investment banking, and private equity space, Penny is now an SME when it comes to driving value for beauty/fashion-based companies. Today, she’s involved in several speaking engagements in which she shares her expertise on topics at the intersection of luxury brands and finance, including how beauty/fashion companies can thrive in PE and M&A with real value creation strategies while tactically maintaining their brand identities and customer relationships.

Penny graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn Law School (J.D.) and cum laude from Binghamton University (B.A.). She is a member of the Bar in the State of New York.
