Sweta Adhikari

Sweta is a Senior Director within the Transformation group at Accordion with almost 15 years of experience in healthcare. Sweta supports private equity firms and physician groups from strategy formulation to execution of value creation programs. Her specific expertise includes revenue enhancement, cost takeout, performance improvement and merger integration.

At Accordion, Sweta has helped healthcare clients with value creation, business transformation strategy and execution support, including –  process optimization, operating model design, business case and opportunity quantification, change management, system selection (EMR, PM, front-end systems, automation tools, etc.) and implementation assistance among other things. Representative Accordion engagements include private equity portfolio companies for Lightyear Capital, CD&R, FFL Partners, Golden Gate Capital, Gemspring Capital, New Mountain Capital, and Permira.

Prior to joining Accordion, Sweta was a Senior Associate at Grant Thornton in their Strategy & Performance Improvement group. During her 3 years at Grant Thornton, she worked primarily for healthcare clients ranging from large health systems, to academic medical centers, to physician practices, to other related entities. She advised her clients on revenue cycle management, physician practice operations, finance transformation, ERP implementation, pre-acquisition due diligence, post-merger integration and performance improvement.

After college, Sweta was an economic analyst for a Washington-based think tank for 3 years. In this role she worked with ministries of health in India and Africa, as well as several economic development thought leaders on health systems delivery and effectiveness research.

Sweta graduated cum laude with high honors in Economics from Mount Holyoke College in 2010. She earned a dual-degree M.P.H. in BioStatistics and Healthcare Management from Columbia University in 2015. She has also obtained International Certification in Corporate Finance from Columbia Business School.
