Matt is an Associate within Accordion’s Turnaround & Restructuring practice with three years of experience in integrated financial modeling, public security analysis, and security valuation.
Prior to joining Accordion, Matt was an Equity Research Associate and later Senior Associate with Raymond James covering Business Development Companies (BDCs) and specialty finance firms. He assisted in building and updating quarterly forecast models for 20+ BDCs in addition to helping write broader industry analysis research pieces on topics like private credit financing availability, earnings sensitivity to base rates, BDC debt issuance spreads, and more. He also tracked trends in the broader leveraged lending market, including loan issuance volume, repayment rates, and default/distress levels.
Matt graduated summa cum laude from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Finance and International Business. He is a CFA Level III candidate.
