Mark is a Senior Director with more than 25 years of experience working in consulting practices and with Fortune 100 companies. He specializes in technical accounting, including ASC 606, ASC 842, consolidations, purchase accounting, and more. In addition, Mark has supported client initiatives to streamline their accounting functions, ultimately improving quality of results and efficiency.
Mark’s prior roles include providing technical accounting oversight and managing a variety of client engagements. He has also led finance transformation projects, helping clients optimize their organizational structure and achieve operational efficiency.
Before joining Accordion, Mark was a VP within RGP’s Technical Accounting Practice, where he oversaw client projects including revenue recognition, leases, consolidations (including VIE analyses), and other areas. He supported clients in differing industries, including software, SaaS, financial services (banking and P&C insurance), entertainment, manufacturing, among others.
Prior to RGP, Mark served as a VP within American Express’s Global Accounting and Policy Advisory Group. In this capacity, he was based in London and supported Amex’s international businesses with their preparation of U.S. GAAP and IFRS financial statements.
Mark’s career started within Big 4 accounting firms, ultimately working within PricewaterhouseCoopers Transaction Services group where he provided financial due diligence services, primarily to private equity clients. He began his career at KPMG in their assurance practice.
Mark graduated from Samford University with a B.S. and a M.S. in accounting.
