Marie is a Director with a decade of advisory and accounting experience with clients ranging from privately held businesses and private equity owned portfolio companies to large multinational companies and their US subsidiaries.
Before joining Accordion, Marie was a Senior Project Manager at Catalyst Strategic Advisors, a sell-side transaction advisory firm specializing in the equipment rental industry, where her work included financial analysis, process management, and market research to support deal execution. Prior to that, she was a Manager in the transaction services group at Riveron, where her work included both buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, working capital, and purchase agreement advisory for private equity firms and corporate clients.
Marie started her career in the Private Company Services assurance group at PwC performing financial statement audits for private equity owned portfolio companies. While at PwC, she also completed a rotation in the Consumer Industrial Products and Services practice, where she performed work on the merger and subsequent carveouts of two of the world’s largest chemical companies. Her experience spans a broad range of industries, including equipment rental and leasing, retail and restaurant, manufacturing, distribution, consumer goods, and industrial products.
Marie earned a M.S. in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas and a B.A. in Business Administration from Austin College. Marie is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
