James Clous is a Director with more than a decade of experience at premiere professional services institutions. James has expertise in financial planning and analysis, business intelligence analytics, management reporting, compensation strategy, and business process improvement.
With Accordion, James has worked on strategic FP&A engagements in a range of client situations. He provided FP&A leadership and execution support to an enterprise software company through enhancing reporting and planning processes in the context of a dynamic business environment. James has also provided finance, business planning, and analytical support during the major business transformation of a publicly traded health products distributor. Additionally, James has developed FP&A reporting and planning processes for a third-party fund administration provider to support their growth through the formal structuring of finance functions.
Prior to joining Accordion, James was an engagement manager at Pournader & Company where he advised clients on financial analytics, reporting and the digital reinvention of complex business processes.
Before joining Pournader & Company, James was a Vice President at Lazard where he analyzed and reported on the health and operations of their Financial Advisory business, its market positioning, and financial performance. He also oversaw a variety of process and system improvements, increasing automation and accuracy across the finance functions.
James started his career at Blackstone where he was responsible for financial planning, analysis and strategy relating to their global incentive structure, general partner investment economics, and reporting.
James graduated from James Madison University with a B.A. in Finance and Economics.
