Cyndi is a Director with two decades of experience in finance, accounting and operations with clients in the retail industry. Her previous responsibilities include financial management, streamlining operations, developing processes & procedures while establishing SOPs, system integrations, migrating/ upgrading General ledger systems.
Before joining Accordion, Cyndi served as a Financial Controller for US and Mexico at Caudalie, where she managed all accounting operations and financial reporting. During her time at the company, she streamlined and reduced the monthly close process, integrated multiple forms of payment for both Brick & mortar and e-commerce divisions, reconfigured Concur, and worked on multiple system migrations for both GL and Payroll. She partnered with Operations and HR to establish best practices to further ensure financial information was presented accurately and timely.
Cyndi has worked in various finance roles within the retail industry with focus of opening new locations, integrating POS and new payment methods, researching & reporting tax (sales tax, commercial rent tax, personal property tax) in various states, creating financial reporting, establishing month-end close procedures and timelines, and creating and managing budgets. Her progressive experience in this industry has afforded her a full 360 view of the process.
Cyndi actually discovered her love for accounting while being cross-trained on the job at Macys. At which point, she decided to pursue her M.B.A. in Accounting which has led down this fructiferous road. She received a B.S. in BS in Management Science with a concentration in International Business from Kean University, and her M.B.A. in Accounting from Rutgers University.
