Chance is a Senior Director with over a decade of advisory, accounting, and process improvement experience both as a consultant and within companies of varying industries. He specializes in the enhancement of finance organizations to better meet company objectives.
Prior to joining Accordion, Chance spent over a decade in various accounting and finance roles as a consultant in the energy sector and within private equity. He has driven change within finance departments by improving and redesigning reporting, streamlining processes, and optimizing systems.
Chance was responsible for the portfolio wide reporting of a $2B energy fund for a large PE firm where he partnered closely with portfolio companies to ensure compliance with the fund requirements. He has also served as Interim-CFO and built scalable processes to align with company growth plans.
His experience ranges from Fortune 100 global corporations to small startups and he has experience in several industries including upstream oil and gas, midstream energy, manufacturing, health care, and private equity.
Chance began his career in the audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was responsible for the audit and review of financial statements of fortune 500 firms. He was recruited to join PwC’s advisory practice and specialized in finance transformation.
Chance graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Masters in Accounting and B.A. in Accounting with a minor in Economics. He is a certified public accountant in the state of Texas.
