Accordion Appoints MD to Team

Accordion, a private equity-focused financial consulting and technology firm, has appointed Junaid Samnani as managing director. He will be based in Dallas. Previously, Samnani worked at Riveron Consulting.

NEW YORK, JULY 9, 2019 — Accordion, the private equity financial consulting and technology firm, today announced that it has hired Junaid Samnani as Managing Director. Samnani will further strengthen Accordion’s expertise in Financial Accounting and Advisory Services. He will be based in Dallas, extending Accordion’s regional presence to the South. Samnani, a Riveron Consulting veteran, will enhance the firm’s ability to support a growing portfolio of over 150 fund sponsors and their portfolio companies.

Samnani joins Accordion from Riveron Consulting, where he was a leader in the business process improvement practice and led the technology service offering. There, he specialized in technology enablement, finance optimization, and integration and separation services. Samnani has spent more than a decade in consulting, helping clients develop and execute strategies to drive operational improvement focused on revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and working capital optimization. He also has extensive experience helping clients select, implement, and leverage financial systems including ERP, CRM, CPM, HRIS, and BI.

Samnani has led transformational engagements for public and private organizations and has serviced 30+ private equity firms. Prior to Riveron, he held leadership roles at Accenture (Finance Strategy and Transformation Group) and Huron Consulting (Finance Technology and Strategy Group).

He started his career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch/Bank of America, where he developed strong relationships with corporations and private equity firms and gained extensive experience in financial modeling and M&A.

Samnani graduated from DePaul University with a B.A. in Finance and Accounting.
