William Walker is a Senior Director with over a decade of experience guiding public and private companies through complex restructurings and special situations, leveraging both in-court and out-of-court processes to deliver operational stability, maximize stakeholder value, and support long-term business transformation.

Prior to joining Accordion, William advised companies and stakeholders across a range of distressed situations during his time at Alvarez & Marsal. He provided leadership through interim management roles, liquidity and vendor management, working capital improvement, business plan development, cash flow forecasting, creditor negotiations, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. His engagements included both operational and balance sheet restructurings, with significant experience supporting management teams and boards through periods of financial and operational stress. In addition to his restructuring work, William previously held roles in corporate banking focused on energy lending, and earlier in his career, managed national political finance operations across Texas, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C.

William’s technical expertise includes liability management, liquidity forecasting, business planning, financial modeling, vendor negotiations, creditor management, and capital structure advisory. He has also developed specialized capabilities in oil and gas finance and treasury operations including full cash-cycle liquidity forecasting, reserves valuations, and lienholder analysis. Regarding cryptocurrency and digital asset strategy, William has technical expertise in on-chain analysis and investigations, stablecoin integration, regulatory landscape, and capital markets advisory.

He has advised companies across a wide range of industries, including energy (midstream, upstream, oilfield services, and refining), crypto, renewables, consumer products, healthcare, and satcom. His clients have included private equity-backed portfolio companies, publicly traded corporations, and privately held businesses undergoing operational turnarounds and financial restructurings.

William earned his M.B.A. from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University and his B.A. in Genetics and Evolutionary Biology from Kenyon College. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
