Jim is a Senior Director in Accordion’s West Coast Turnaround and Restructuring practice with extensive experience in strategic financial and operational advisory. He has provided a wide range of services for clients including strategic business value creation plans; transactional and cash flow modeling; industry benchmarking and comp analysis; deal-based risk assessment reports; transaction valuations; earnings quality reviews; and disposition of underperforming assets.

Jim most recently played a pivotal role in guiding senior leadership of an internationally recognized casual dining brand through a successful out-of-court restructuring and sale process. Leveraging deep expertise in financial strategy and business operations, he led the management of liquidity constraints while collaborating with key stakeholders to stabilize the business, improve cash flow, and develop a long-term business plan to ensure a smooth transition and maximize value for all parties while positioning the company for future growth under new ownership.

He also had the opportunity to serve as the interim Controller and Vice President of Finance at Dividend Restaurant Group, parent company to Romano’s Macaroni Grill and Sullivan’s Steakhouse. Assisting in the restructuring and operational turnaround of Romano’s Macaroni Grill, including designing and implementing financial and operational initiatives to increase efficiency, raise capital and drive improved growth while concurrently assisting the company through a successful Chapter 11 reorganization Grill as well as the acquisition and strategic integration and operational turnaround of Sullivan’s Steakhouse.

Jim work through the bankruptcy and turnaround of Logan’s Roadhouse, including the implementation of a comprehensive turnaround strategy for the brand and the rebuilding of the company’s platform operations during a Chapter 11 reorganization.

Prior to joining Accordion, Jim served in several positions within the finance industry, including Associate at Alvarez and Marsal; Financial Analyst at Houlihan Lokey; and Senior Associate for EY. Jim earned a B.A. in Accounting and Economics with a concentration in Finance, cum laude, from St. Norbert College, Wisconsin while also studying at Lancaster University, England. He has also served as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association and is a Member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors and the TMA.
