Jacob is a Director with over a decade of experience advising private and public companies and their boards of directors on complex transactions, financial analysis and performance visibility and improvement initiatives.
With Accordion, Jacob specializes in strategic financial planning and analysis and liquidity management. He has worked on several client assignments, including sell-side readiness, budgeting and forecasting, three-statement modeling, and 13-week cashflow among others. He has partnered with the management teams of private equity-backed companies in a variety of industries including chemicals, transportation, utilities, direct to consumer, and health care.
Before joining Accordion, Jacob spent nearly seven years at Houlihan Lokey where he specialized in advising companies and boards on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, divestitures and other transformative transactions. He served as an advisor to senior management with a focus on valuation, fairness, solvency, and strategic alternatives. At Houlihan, Jacob had experience in several industries, including energy, technology, industrials, infrastructure, gaming, and professional services.
Jacob started his career at Marshall & Stevens where he was responsible for performing and reviewing valuations in financial reporting contexts.
Jacob graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Economics. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
